Having
been blessed with the talent of drawing and painting since the
age of four, I have made a choice as I have aged to slow down
and enjoy my sunset years. However, now and in the future you
will still see me at our local art shows!
During
this time span I have donated many of my originals, prints and
photographs to various groups, societies and associations to raise
monies for certain causes.
A
few years ago I came across some old 35mm prints that I had enlarged
to make a series of the Great South Bay Clammers. Islip Town had
a clam transplant program in 1976 and this was the opening day.
Only four of the prints were able to be printed. These and other
subjects have been produced and can be found in Babylon Village
shops.
My
paintings of our Fire Island Lighthouse, Captree Bridge, local
boats and the wonderful ocean front have become my favorite subjects.
These I shall continue to paint, plus I'm working on a new line
of watercolors for the next season. So do check out the events
page for upcoming shows and displays to keep in touch. Also, I
have illustrated five books and written and illustrated four of
my own. These were sold out at once. So just maybe another will
be done in the near future.
